Welcome.

I only have 5 days in San Francisco before going back to my life in Oslo. It’s been an awesome journey, and the last couple of weeks have been great. I started my vacation with some of my best friends on a roadtrip from SF through Yosemite Park to Death Valley and Las Vegas, down to Huntington Beach and back up via Los Angeles to San Francisco along Highway 1. Then I more or less went on the same trip with my girlfriend, and got to experience it all over again, this time with less stress and shorter distances, but still an awesome time in Vegas and a couple of days on the beach of Laguna Beach. It’s been a blast.

So I guess I forgot about blogging while if been alone in SF for almost a month now. There hasn’t really been anything going on worth telling about. I’ve been doing some freelance work, done some online gaming with my friends at home, and enjoying the weather that has been as unpredictable as it could have been.

So, I have finished my semester at the academy. Now Im ready for summertime. But wait, summertime? – In San Francisco?.. Nice try. The weather here sucks this time of year, I woke up today with rain pouring down outside, only to find out half an hour later that the sun was shining and the rain was gone. One hour later, it was raining again. Thats how the weather works in San Fran. You never know if you should put on a pair of shorts, or if you might need a sweater and a jacket to cover up for the blazing winds.

So there hasn’t been much blogging from me lately. The reason for this might be because I’ve had A LOT to do with finals the past couple of weeks, and so I kind of forgot about blogging for a while there. Now I have three finals left this week. Two of them are done already, and I’m also moving this week. This is because the academy thought it would be smart to kick out all the students from their dorms the week of finals, so I’m getting up at 8am tomorrow to help Bjørn move, and then I’ll be moving my stuff this weekend depending on how soon I can finish my finals. Happy 17th of May Norway, I’ll make it up to you next year..

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately. I’m soon finished with my first semester in San Francisco, and in many ways it has been great. On the other hand I do not have the feeling that I have accomplished necessarily what I came here to do. I came here to pursue my love for design, and maybe Webdesign the most.

So I’m not dead.. Almost not dead a least. I’ve been sick for the last two days, but I still managed to go to Alcatraz yesterday. Chris and Mats has been here for a week, and I have pretty much been juggling school and being a tourguide all week. But it’s been fun. I hadn’t seen Mats for almost a year, so I was very happy when I found out they would be coming here on their way back to Norway.
