I went to the open house today, and apparently I was pretty much the only one. Me and this other girl from the Philippines were the only ones to show up, and so we had both directors pretty much to ourselves (there should be about 60 students starting this semester). Like yesterday they seem like really genuine skilled people with a lot of stuff to teach us. Not really much happened, we just talked about this and that as well as a little more detailed about each class. Then we got a tour of the mac lab and the classrooms which was pretty much like NKF, but the mac lab was like a library filled with 20” and 24” iMacs. Pretty nice!

After that session I went to get my art supplies for the Silkscreen and Sketching for Communication classes, so now that’s taken care of. Other than that this has been a calm and nice day. I would have gone to a few of the workshops, but I was so tired, so I went back to my dorm to get some rest. None of it were mandatory, and apparently I didn’t miss a thing. I met my roommate for the first time today, he only stopped by for a few minuttes, and he seemed like a cool guy. He’ll be moving in tomorrow, I’m a bit anxious about that one.. Never shared a room with someone before, so it could be interresting to see how things work out.

We sat next to this really skilled guy at Starbucks today. By we I mean Morten, Trygve and I. He was working on what seemed to be a comic book, and so he had brought his little tablet and MBP to Starbucks where he sat and converted sketched drawings into really nice Photoshop artwork. The stuff was really good, and it kind of inspired me a little bit. You rarely see a professional digital artist work, but I think it’s really cool when you do.

I went by the Apple Store to get a case for my iPhone today aswell, and Morten had a shopping spree while I was talking to one of the mac geniuses. So the brilliant thing at the Apple Store is that if you buy something, you can just go to any of the people working there, and they carry around iPhones with like a modified case which has a barcode reader and a card reader in it, so they just scan your stuff and swipe your card in their iPhones, your name and e-mail address shows up and they ask wether you want a receipt or if they should send it to your e-mail. That’s it, your done! Great, isn’t it? – I love it!

Still not any pictures for you I’m afraid, but I’ll try and bring my camera with me tomorrow.. I should probably get a pocket camera, it’s a lot easier to carry around.
